Al-Hilal Eye Liverpool Star with €120m Bid – And It’s Not Salah

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are reportedly preparing a massive €120 million bid for Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai this summer.
While the Saudi club has been heavily linked with Mohamed Salah in recent months, it appears their sights are now set on the Hungarian international as they seek a marquee signing to replace Neymar.
Neymar, who recently terminated his contract with Al-Hilal to return to his boyhood club, Santos, has left a significant void on the Saudi side. According to reports from Fichajes, Al-Hilal see Szoboszlai as the ideal candidate to fill that gap and are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve with a blockbuster offer.
Szoboszlai, 24, joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig last season and has become a key figure in Arne Slot’s squad. After a slow start to his Anfield career, the midfielder has found his rhythm and is now one of the Reds’ standout performers. His resurgence has made him an integral part of Liverpool’s push for the Premier League title this season.

However, Al-Hilal’s pursuit of Szoboszlai won’t be straightforward. Liverpool are unlikely to entertain offers for the midfielder, especially given his importance to the team. The Saudi club, though, is ready to make a statement in the transfer market and could table a €120 million bid to lure the Hungarian away from Anfield.
For now, Szoboszlai remains fully committed to Liverpool’s title ambitions this season. After scoring in Liverpool’s recent 2-0 win over Manchester City, the midfielder emphasized the importance of staying focused on the team’s goals.
“When I joined Liverpool, my goal was to win everything in my first season! But I don’t like to talk too much about it. We have to take it game by game and stay focused,” Szoboszlai said. “Right now, our priority is the Champions League—we have to get through this round.
Then, we have a Premier League game in between, followed by the cup final against Newcastle. Newcastle are a really tough team with a strong playing style, so we have to be ready. For now, our focus is on the Champions League, and then we’ll shift our attention to the cup final.”
With Szoboszlai fully focused on Liverpool’s trophy chase, Al-Hilal’s lucrative offer could spark a major transfer saga come summer.
