Fulham 3-2 Liverpool: Reds’ 26-Game Unbeaten Run Ends in Shock Defeat

Liverpool’s 26-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League came to a dramatic end at Craven Cottage as Fulham held on for a 3-2 victory.

Despite an early wonder strike from Alexis Mac Allister, defensive errors cost the Reds dearly, with Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi, and Rodrigo Muniz putting Fulham in control. A late Luis Diaz goal set up a tense finish, but the hosts held firm to boost their European hopes while denting Liverpool’s title charge.

Liverpool started brightly, with Mac Allister firing them ahead in stunning fashion, curling a 25-yard strike into the top corner. But Fulham responded quickly; Curtis Jones’ poor clearance fell to Sessegnon, who smashed home the equaliser.

Diaz gave Liverpool hope with a sharp finish after a driving run from Conor Bradley, but Fulham’s resolute defending and time-wasting tactics frustrated the visitors. Bernd Leno made crucial saves, including a point-blank stop from Diogo Jota, as Marco Silva’s side held on for a memorable win.

The defeat leaves Liverpool needing 11 points from their final seven games to seal the title, while Fulham reignite their European ambitions. Defensive lapses proved costly for Arne Slot’s side, while Fulham’s fearless display, led by Muniz, Sessegnon, and Iwobi, deserved all three points.
