Liverpool have confirmed their starting lineup for today’s Community Shield clash with Crystal Palace, with Alisson Becker returning after missing the last two friendlies.
Arne Slot hands starts to all four of his major summer signings, as Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz are named in the XI for the Premier League champions.
Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate partner at centre-back, with Frimpong and Kerkez providing width from the full-back positions. Wirtz is set to operate in midfield alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones.
Mohamed Salah captains the side and is joined in attack by Cody Gakpo and Ekitike, who makes his competitive debut for the club.
