Confirmed Liverpool Lineup vs Ac Milan: Writz Starts

Liverpool have named their starting lineup for today’s pre-season friendly against AC Milan, with Florian Wirtz handed his first start in front of fans.

The Reds are in Hong Kong for the first leg of their Far East tour, and kick off against the Serie A side at 12.30 pm UK time at the Kai Tak Stadium.

Alisson Becker starts in goal for the first time this summer. Dominik Szoboszlai is expected to play at right-back, joining Luca Stephenson, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson in the back four.

Tyler Morton and Ryan Gravenberch get the nod in midfield alongside Harvey Elliott, who starts his second game of pre-season.

Mohamed Salah leads the team as captain and is joined in the front three by Wirtz and 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who keeps his place after impressing against Preston.

There is no place in the squad for Darwin Nunez or Luis Diaz, both left out entirely. But Arne Slot has plenty of strength on the bench, with Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate, Jeremie Frimpong and Cody Gakpo all available.
