Ex-Liverpool Star Appointed Premier League Assistant Manager

Former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has been appointed as assistant to Southampton’s interim manager Simon Rusk for the remainder of the season.
Lallana, who rejoined Southampton last summer after stints with Liverpool and Brighton, will bring his wealth of experience to the coaching staff as the Saints face their final Premier League matches before relegation to the Championship is confirmed.

The club parted ways with Ivan Jurić after a challenging season, leaving Rusk to take charge for the final seven games. Lallana, who has made 18 appearances this season despite injury setbacks, will be stepping into his first coaching role.
A product of Southampton’s youth system, Lallana played a pivotal role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League during his initial time at St. Mary’s. Now, he aims to support Rusk in navigating the club’s struggles, with a focus on maintaining pride and building for the future.
Lallana’s coaching career begins here, and if he can make an impact during these final fixtures, it could mark the start of an exciting new chapter in his post-playing career.
