Thankfully, Elliott has recovered quickly and is now part of the England U21s squad for their upcoming friendlies against France and Portugal. This call-up is a significant moment for the young midfielder, who has struggled for consistent game time at Liverpool this season.
With just four starts and 587 minutes under his belt, Elliott has found himself on the outskirts of Arne Slot’s plans. This international break offers him a chance to regain form and confidence.
