Harvey Elliott Joins Aston Villa On Season-Long Loan

Liverpool have confirmed that Harvey Elliott has joined Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the 2025-26 season.
The 22-year-old completed the move on deadline day, with reports suggesting the package is valued at around £35 million ($47.3m) and includes clauses covering any future transfer as well as the option for Liverpool to bring him back.
Elliott has been with Liverpool since 2019, making 147 appearances and scoring 17 goals, while winning the Premier League twice, the Carabao Cup twice, the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
Despite his success, the midfielder started only once in the league last season, which left him eager for regular football.

Villa, who are competing in the Europa League under Unai Emery, won the race for his signature after fending off interest from RB Leipzig, while Elliott also turned down West Ham and former club Fulham earlier in the summer.
The England U21 international, named Player of the Tournament at this summer’s European Championships, now heads to Villa Park looking to build on that momentum. Liverpool, meanwhile, still sees him as an important long-term player despite allowing the loan exit.
