Liverpool continued their march towards the Premier League title with a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle at Anfield, extending their lead at the top to 13 points. The second half saw Liverpool continue to press, and they doubled their lead through Mac Allister. Mohamed Salah, who provided his 17th league assist of the season, set up the Argentine midfielder for a superb finish. Newcastle offered little in response, and Liverpool comfortably saw out the game to secure another three points.
With Arsenal dropping points in a 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest, the Reds now sit 13 points clear at the top of the table with 10 games remaining. Slot, watching from the stands, will be delighted with his team’s performance as they edge closer to the title.
