Liverpool Announces 2025 Summer Pre-Season Tour

Liverpool have announced their plans to tour Asia this summer, with matches scheduled in Hong Kong and Japan.
The Reds will kick off the tour on July 26, facing AC Milan in the Standard Chartered Trophy at Hong Kong’s new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium. This fixture commemorates the 20th anniversary of their legendary 2005 Champions League final triumph in Istanbul, where Liverpool famously fought back from a 3-0 deficit to win on penalties.
Following the Hong Kong clash, Liverpool will journey to Japan. While the specifics of their fixture there are still being finalized, this will mark their first visit to the country since the 2005 Club World Cup final.

Speaking on the tour, Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, Ben Latty, expressed the club’s excitement, saying,
“We’re delighted to be heading back to Asia this summer. It’s always a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with our passionate supporters and strengthen our bond with our fanbase in the region.”
He added that the tour would also enhance their relationship with Japan, especially considering the club’s sponsorship deal with Japan Airlines and the presence of Japanese captain and Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo.
Liverpool’s last tour of Asia was in 2017, when they participated in the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong. More recently, they visited the USA last summer, continuing their global outreach and fan engagement initiatives.
