Liverpool Announce New Ticketing Rules For 2025-26 Season

Liverpool have confirmed new ticketing rules that will come into effect from the 2025-26 season, with a focus on making the process easier for fans and reducing ticket misuse.

The changes follow three major fan surveys with nearly 100,000 responses. The club says it has worked closely with its Supporters Board to make improvements in key areas, especially ticket access and online sales.

All Red Sale: New System For Matchday Tickets

Fans with 13 or more Premier League home credits will no longer need to register for the All Red sale; they will get automatic access.

Everyone else will enter a ballot, where they can choose a preferred seat location and ticket price. If selected, they will be automatically given a ticket and charged using the card they registered.

This removes the need to join the stressful online queue.

Apple Pay and Google Pay will now be accepted, while fans who fail payment will still have a chance to complete it.

Disabled fans will still be contacted directly to choose seats that suit their needs.

Ticket Forwarding Changes

From next season, tickets can only be forwarded once per match. In special cases, they can be returned to the original owner.

Forwarding will stay open until kick-off, giving fans more time to sort out plans on matchday.

Fans using general admission NFC passes will need to download a new pass for the new season. Details will be emailed soon.

Friends & Family: Limits And Updates

Supporters can now have up to 18 people on their Friends & Family list — used to buy or forward tickets.

You can add people at any time, but from September 1, 2025, you won’t be able to remove anyone until the end of the season.

European Away Games

From next season, anyone using your European away ticket must already be on your Friends & Family list.

Ticket forwarding for these games will be trialled, making it easier to share tickets safely.

The club suggests fans wait for more details before adding people specifically for away matches in Europe.

Ticket Distribution Scrapped

The current system, which allows members with 13+ home credits to use ticket distribution and keep two credits per season when sharing tickets, will be removed.

Instead, if you forward your ticket, the attendee will now get the credit.

Tickets can still be passed on via Ticket Forwarding or listed on Ticket Exchange.

Why These Changes?

The new system aims to make buying tickets smoother and more secure. The club also wants to stop the growing problem of ticket misuse.

That includes:

  • Selling tickets without permission

  • Passing tickets through unofficial channels

  • Forwarding to fake or banned accounts

  • Forwarding tickets more than once to hide activity

  • Using bots or software to grab tickets

Liverpool say they’re committed to making access fairer for real fans and stopping abuse of the system.

More updates will be shared directly with members ahead of the 2025-26 season.
