Liverpool fans have taken to social media after both Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez were left out of the squad to face AC Milan in today’s pre-season match in Hong Kong.
Arne Slot named a strong starting XI for the friendly, with Alisson making his first appearance of the summer and Florian Wirtz handed his first start in front of supporters. But many fans quickly noticed two key players missing: no Díaz, no Núñez.
Díaz and Nunez were seen arriving with the squad at the stadium but were not included in the matchday squad. Their absence from the teamsheet has surprised many fans, especially after Núñez impressed in earlier friendlies and Díaz trained throughout the Hong Kong leg.
There has been no official word from the club yet, leaving fans online to ask the same question: “Where are they?”
