Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs Accrington Stanley: FA Cup Third-Round Tie

Liverpool will be aiming to make a strong statement when they host Accrington Stanley at Anfield in the FA Cup third round on Saturday. Manager Arne Slot is expected to rotate his squad heavily, following a midweek EFL Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur. With important league fixtures on the horizon, Slot is likely to give several young players valuable game time, while also introducing experienced faces to ensure the team maintains a winning edge.

In goal, Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start, providing Alisson with some much-needed rest. The backline could see Conor Bradley slotting in at right-back, with Wataru Endo and Ibrahima Konate partnering in the center. Tyler Morton might also play at left-back, bringing a mix of youth and versatility to the defense.

In midfield, James McConnell and Trey Nyoni could be handed more minutes to prove themselves, supported by Harvey Elliott, who brings creativity and flair to the center. The attack could see Federico Chiesa starting on the left wing, while Jayden Danns, who impressed off the bench against Southampton, may join Darwin Nunez up front to give Liverpool a dynamic attacking presence.

To add some experience and attacking threat, Slot might deploy Nunez, who needs more first-team minutes after being left out midweek. Chiesa, also seeking more time on the field, will be keen to make an impact.

Several key players like Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Ryan Gravenberch will be rested for this fixture, giving others the chance to step up and prove their worth. Dominik Szoboszlai, who missed the Spurs game due to illness, could also see some minutes, adding depth to the midfield.
