Luis Díaz Joins Bayern Munich From Liverpool

Luis Díaz has completed a permanent move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, bringing an end to his time at Anfield after three-and-a-half years.
The Colombian forward has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga champions. He was left out of Liverpool’s pre-season game against AC Milan over the weekend as the transfer neared completion.

Liverpool had rejected Bayern’s first approach earlier this month but accepted a second offer, giving Díaz permission to travel and undergo a medical. The deal was finalised earlier this week.
Speaking to Bayern’s official website after sealing the move, Díaz said:
I’m very happy, it means a lot to me to be part of FC Bayern – they’re one of the biggest clubs in the world.
AdvertisementI want to help my new team with my way of playing football and my character. My goal is to win every possible title, and that’s what we’ll work for every day as a team.
Díaz joined Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022. He went on to make 148 appearances for the club and won four major trophies, including last season’s Premier League title.
His move to Bayern means Liverpool have now sanctioned over £100 million in player sales this summer, with the club continuing to pursue targets including Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
