Mo Salah Finishes Fourth In 2025 Ballon d’Or Rankings

Mo Salah has secured fourth place in the 2025 Ballon d’Or, with the Liverpool star recognised for his incredible role in last season’s Premier League triumph under Arne Slot.
The Egyptian forward was Liverpool’s top performer in 2024-25, delivering 29 goals and 18 assists in the league, the best figures in both categories. His outstanding campaign saw him sweep the individual awards in England, being named Premier League Player of the Season, FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

Salah was the highest-ranked Red among the four Liverpool players included on the 30-man shortlist. Alexis Mac Allister came in 22nd, captain Virgil van Dijk placed 28th, while new signing Florian Wirtz was 29th.
The Ballon d’Or itself went to Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembélé, who lifted the trophy at the ceremony in Paris after voting by journalists from FIFA’s top 100 nations.
There was also recognition for Alisson Becker, who finished second in the Yachine Trophy standings for the world’s best goalkeeper. That honour went to Gianluigi Donnarumma.
