“We Are in for a Very Exciting Final” – Robert Marawa Predicts Fireworks at Wembley

Liverpool’s hunt for silverware continues as they prepare to face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

After the disappointment of their Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain, Arne Slot’s team has a golden opportunity to recover by winning the first domestic trophy of the season.

Showmax Premier League ambassador and legendary sportscaster Robert Marawa believes Liverpool will face a tough challenge but expects them to rise to the occasion.

“This Carabao Cup final is a must-watch. The passion, intensity, and stakes are incredibly high. Showmax Premier League is bringing you the best seat in the house to witness this historic clash.”

Liverpool will be without some key players for the final. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Bradley, and Joe Gomez are unavailable, leaving the team short on defensive options. However, young Jarrell Quansah has stepped up impressively and is expected to play a key role.

“Quansah had a great game when he came on against PSG and has earned his place,” Marawa noted.

In the attack, Arne Slot faces a big decision regarding Darwin Núñez. The Uruguayan striker missed a crucial penalty against PSG but remains a dangerous threat up front.

“We’ve all seen the love-hate relationship Slot has with Núñez,” Marawa said. “Can he be the hero and score the winning goal to make everyone, including himself, forget about that penalty miss?”

Liverpool’s biggest strength lies between the posts, with Alisson Becker in outstanding form. Marawa believes the Brazilian shot-stopper will be a key factor in determining the outcome of the final.

“PSG dominated possession, had 27 attempts and 10 shots on goal, yet they couldn’t score because of Alisson’s heroics,” Marawa said. “He made 16 saves across two legs in the Champions League. That’s more than just ordinary work.”

While Newcastle will be desperate to end their long wait for a major trophy, Liverpool has the experience and pedigree in these moments. The Carabao Cup was the final trophy of the Jürgen Klopp era, won last season against Chelsea. Now, under new management, they have a chance to claim an 11th title.

Marawa hinted that Liverpool might spring a tactical surprise.

“They may shake things up, and Harvey Elliott could start,” he suggested. “It’s an intriguing tie, and I won’t predict a winner. But all I can say is, we are in for a very exciting final.”

Liverpool’s resilience has defined them in recent years, and Wembley offers another chance to showcase it and add to their trophy collection.
