CONFIRMED: Liverpool Starting XI vs PSV Eindhoven – Chiesa Starts!

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opted for a heavily rotated squad as the Reds take on PSV Eindhoven in their final Champions League league-phase fixture. With qualification for the last 16 already secured, several key players have been rested for this clash at Philips Stadion.
Nine senior players have been left out, allowing a number of young talents to step into the squad. The traveling party includes nine current academy players and five more graduates from Liverpool’s youth ranks, making this an opportunity for the next generation to showcase their abilities on the European stage.
Caoimhin Kelleher takes his place in goal, starting behind a back four featuring Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah, Andrew Robertson, and Kostas Tsimikas. With Virgil van Dijk absent, Robertson is expected to partner Quansah at the heart of the defense.
In midfield, Wataru Endo provides stability alongside Harvey Elliott and James McConnell, who makes his Champions League debut.
The attacking lineup sees Federico Chiesa, Cody Gakpo, and Jayden Danns lead the charge. With Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Diogo Jota all unavailable, this trio will be responsible for spearheading Liverpool’s offensive efforts against a formidable PSV side.
On the bench, Liverpool have a mix of youth and experience, with players like Jaros, Mabaya, and Morton ready to step in if needed.
Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven will be aiming to capitalize on Liverpool’s rotated squad, fielding a strong starting XI that includes Pepi, Veerman, and Bakayoko. With home advantage on their side, the Dutch outfit will be keen to secure a positive result against the Premier League giants.
Liverpool Starting XI: Kelleher; Bradley, Quansah, Robertson, Tsimikas; Endo, McConnell, Elliott; Chiesa, Gakpo, Danns.
Substitutes: Jaros, Davies, Nallo, Mabaya, Norris, Morton, Nyoni, Morrison, Kone-Doherty.
