Steven Gerrard to Return for LFC Legends Charity Match

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will return to Anfield this month to play in the LFC Legends charity match.
The game will take place on Saturday, March 23 (3 pm GMT), and Gerrard will team up with former Reds stars like Sami Hyypia, Martin Skrtel, Peter Crouch, and Dirk Kuyt.
The match, supported by Liverpool’s training partner AXA, will raise money for the LFC Foundation’s health programmes. These programmes help people in the Liverpool City Region live healthier lives.

Gerrard, who recently left his job as manager of Al-Ettifaq, will face Chelsea FC Legends, a team he played against many times during his career. The 44-year-old last played in a Legends match in March 2023, when Liverpool beat Ajax 4-2.
Chelsea’s legends team will be managed by Roberto Di Matteo and will include players like Gary Cahill, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Frank Sinclair. The game will be a chance for fans to see their favourite players back on the pitch.
This year’s Legends Match promises to be a fun and memorable event, all while supporting a good cause.
