Liverpool To Sign Freddie Woodman When Preston Contract Expires
Liverpool have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Freddie Woodman once his contract with Preston North End expires on June 30.
The 28-year-old will join the Premier League champions as a free agent and is expected to report for pre-season training with Arne Slot’s squad at the AXA Training Centre next month.
Woodman made 138 appearances during his three years at Deepdale and was named Preston’s Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season. He kept 12 clean sheets in 37 Championship matches last season as Preston narrowly avoided relegation.

A former England U21 international, Woodman came through the ranks at Newcastle United and gained further experience with loan spells at Swansea City, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Crawley Town and Hartlepool United.
He will act as a backup to Alisson Becker and Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is set to complete his move from Valencia on July 1. The signing follows the departure of Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford earlier this month.
