Alexander Isak Trains With Liverpool For The First Time

Alexander Isak has officially stepped into life at Liverpool, taking part in his first training session at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday.
The £125 million signing, now wearing the No. 9 shirt, joined up with the squad after returning from international duty with Sweden. He played 18 minutes in their friendly against Kosovo on Monday, his first action since the final day of last season, and will now focus on building match sharpness with his new club.
He was welcomed by physical performance coach Ruben Peeters, who will oversee his program as Liverpool prepare for a demanding run of seven fixtures in just three weeks.
Wednesday’s session also featured Stefan Bajcetic, Federico Chiesa, Jeremie Frimpong, Joe Gomez and goalkeeper Freddie Woodman. The rest of the squad, including those who travelled long distances such as Alisson, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo, are due back on Thursday.
Importantly, Liverpool reported no new injuries ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Burnley.
