Arne Slot, Liverpool & Everton Charged by FA After Heated Merseyside Derby

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, his assistant Sipke Hulshoff, and both Liverpool and Everton have been charged by the FA following incidents that occurred during and after Wednesday night’s dramatic 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Slot and Hulshoff were among four individuals shown red cards in a tense encounter that also saw Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure sent off for a physical altercation. The Liverpool manager and his assistant received straight red cards for their reaction towards referee Michael Oliver and his officiating team after the game.
Initial reports suggested that Slot would miss Liverpool’s next match against Wolves on Sunday, just like Curtis Jones, who was dismissed for a second yellow card. However, the FA has confirmed that any suspension for the Dutchman and his assistant will be decided at a later date.

With the FA setting a February 19 deadline for responses, it means Slot and Hulshoff could still be on the touchline for Liverpool’s midweek Premier League fixture against Aston Villa. However, should any ban be handed down, the duo could end up missing the high-profile clash against Manchester City on February 23 instead.
