Arne Slot was spotted in Ibiza just hours after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
The Dutch manager was seen mingling with several celebrities, including Wayne Lineker, Gary Lineker’s brother. Even though Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions in April, they still have two more matches to play.
After a loss to Chelsea in their last away game, Liverpool started strong against Arsenal, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Right after the game, Wayne Lineker, owner of O Beach Club in Ibiza, posted a photo of himself and Slot at the famous hotspot, simply captioning it “Caption this.”
Slot, who secured the Premier League title in his first season at Anfield, received a hero’s welcome at the beach club. He was invited onto the DJ stage as Queen’s “We Are The Champions” played through the speakers, with staff holding up “CHAMPIONS” signs to celebrate Liverpool’s success.
Wayne Lineker, who is also the brother of ex-Everton player Gary Lineker, confirmed Slot’s visit on Instagram, sharing clips of the celebration with fans.
While Slot enjoyed his moment in Spain, some of Liverpool’s players are reportedly heading to Dubai for a break of their own.
Liverpool’s next game is away to Brighton on Monday, with their final match at Anfield against Crystal Palace on May 25, where they will lift the Premier League trophy.
