Fuka Nagano Signs New Liverpool Contract

Fuka Nagano has signed a new contract to extend her stay at Liverpool FC Women.
The Japan international midfielder joined the Reds in January 2023 from North Carolina Courage and has since made 64 appearances in all competitions.
Nagano played 26 times last season, providing four assists and scoring her first goal for the club in the 3-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield in March.

Her decision to stay comes after strong interest from WSL rivals Everton and Manchester United earlier this summer. But Liverpool were determined to keep the 26-year-old, with talks ongoing since January.
She now becomes the fifth player to sign a new deal at Liverpool this summer, following Ceri Holland, Rachael Laws, Faye Kirby and Mia Enderby.
Nagano will be part of Arne Slot’s side when they kick off the new Women’s Super League season at Anfield against Everton on September 7.
The Reds have also added four new signings this window: Sam Kerr, Lily Woodham, Rafaela Borggrafe and Kirsty Maclean.
