Lily Woodham Joins Liverpool FC Women From Seattle Reign

Liverpool FC Women have completed the signing of Wales international Lily Woodham on a permanent deal following her departure from NWSL side Seattle Reign.
The 24-year-old left-back becomes the Reds’ fourth addition of the summer and returns to the Women’s Super League after a loan spell at Crystal Palace last season, where she made 20 appearances in all competitions.
Woodham arrives with a strong international pedigree, having started every game for Wales at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025. She now links up with fellow Welsh internationals Ceri Holland and Gemma Evans at Liverpool.

I’m a fan of Liverpool so it’s a dream come true really,” she said after signing. “It already feels like a home from home and everyone has been so nice to me and welcomed me. I just want to bring everything I can to the team and always give my all.
Before her move to the United States in early 2024, Woodham spent six years with Reading and was named club captain ahead of the 2023–24 season. Her earlier career included spells with Bristol City and Charlton Athletic.
She now joins a Liverpool side led by interim head coach Amber Whiteley, as the Reds aim to improve on last season’s seventh-place finish in the WSL. Her arrival adds further depth and competition in defence ahead of the new campaign.
The length of her contract has not been disclosed, and her official squad number will be confirmed in due course.
