Arne Slot Provides Update on Conor Bradley Injury

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that Conor Bradley is set to undergo further assessment after picking up an injury during the Reds’ 2-2 draw against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

The full-back was substituted in the 89th minute at Villa Park, having entered the game as a second-half substitute.

Bradley felt discomfort during a sprint and attempted to continue playing but was eventually forced off the pitch. Slot expressed concern over the injury, emphasizing that when a player voluntarily leaves the field, it is rarely a positive sign.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Slot said:

“It is difficult, but he felt a bit when he made a sprint. He tried to continue but had to go out. All the time with injuries, I always say if a player wants to go out himself, that’s not a promising sign. It will probably lead to the fact he is probably 99.9 per cent not available for City, and I don’t expect him against Newcastle as well. Then we have to see if it’s one or two weeks or if it’s going to be even longer.”

The injury means Bradley is likely to miss Liverpool’s crucial upcoming fixtures against Manchester City and Newcastle United. The club’s medical team will now assess the extent of the issue, but Slot hinted that the recovery timeline could range from one to two weeks or potentially longer.
