Reports: Liverpool Reject €67.5m Bayern Bid for Luis Díaz

Liverpool have rejected a €67.5 million bid from Bayern Munich for Luis Díaz, with several top sources confirming the offer was swiftly turned down and that the winger is now open to leaving Anfield.

The bid, made on Monday morning, was reported by David Ornstein (The Athletic), Florian Plettenberg (Sky Germany), and Ben Jacobs, all of whom confirmed that Bayern’s first official approach was rejected immediately. The offer, worth around £58.6 million, fell well below Liverpool’s valuation and was never considered.

While Liverpool’s stance remains that Díaz is not for sale, Ornstein reports that the Colombian international has now “made clear” his desire to leave. That marks a shift from earlier in the summer when he publicly said he was happy to stay, with or without a new contract.

Bayern are not giving up. Plettenberg says the German champions are preparing a second bid, with Díaz viewed as their top priority. Talks over personal terms are ongoing, but not expected to be an obstacle. A deal until 2029 or 2030 is being considered.

Jacobs adds that Liverpool would only reconsider their stance if the offer becomes “too good to turn down.” Internally, the club has noted Bayern’s previous willingness to spend over €100 million on now-Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz, and their need to strengthen after losing Jamal Musiala to injury.

Meanwhile, Saudi club Al-Nassr continue to monitor Díaz’s situation. According to Jacobs, Saudi negotiators have recently valued Bruno Fernandes at around €100 million despite being older than Díaz, which further underlines the Colombian’s market value.

Díaz is under contract until 2027 and remains part of Arne Slot’s pre-season plans. But with top clubs circling and the player no longer closed off to a move, Liverpool may have to brace for more offers in the coming days.
