Reports: Liverpool Eyeing Antonee Robinson as January Signing Amid Rival Interest

Antonee Robinson’s impressive performances for Fulham have attracted considerable interest from several top clubs. Several leading teams are eager to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window, with Liverpool among them.

As reported by Football Insider, the Merseyside club would need to pay a hefty £40-50 million to sign the American international. Alongside the Reds, Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal are also targeting the former Everton player.

Robinson began his career at Goodison Park before moving to Wigan Athletic. Fulham signed him in the summer of 2020 following his strong performances at Wigan.

Now 27, the left-back has steadily improved and become one of the Premier League’s top defenders. He has started in all 16 of Fulham’s league matches this season and has contributed six assists.

Liverpool Eye Robinson for January Move

Robinson’s form has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool, who have been monitoring him closely. The Reds were particularly impressed by his double-assist display at Anfield.

Liverpool are actively looking for a long-term successor to Andy Robertson, whose performances have dipped recently. Robinson fits well into their playing style, and they are keen to bring him to Anfield in January.

Although Liverpool are considering a move, Fulham have no desire to let Robinson go mid-season. The 27-year-old is a key player for Marco Silva’s team, and with his contract running until 2028, the Cottagers are in a strong position.

Liverpool Face Competition

The report indicates that Liverpool would need to offer around £40-50 million to persuade Fulham to part with Robinson. However, they will face strong competition from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Manchester United are on the lookout for a new left-back due to injury concerns over their current options, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is no longer relying on Oleksandr Zinchenko and is keen to strengthen the left side of his defense.
