Reports: West Ham Plotting Double Raid on Liverpool This Summer

West Ham United are targeting Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton as part of their major summer rebuild, according to a report by The Guardian.
The Hammers are pushing to refresh their squad after the £54.5 million sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham and see the Liverpool pair as key additions. According to the report, West Ham are yet to make a formal bid, but groundwork is underway for a potential double swoop.
Harvey Elliott was named Player of the Tournament at the 2025 UEFA U21 Euros after scoring five goals in six games for champions England. UEFA praised him as their “most effective player,” highlighting his movement, key goals, and leadership.

RB Leipzig are also reportedly keeping tabs on Elliott, who is capable of playing in multiple roles across the front line and midfield.
Morton, 21, also featured in the England U21 squad and has quietly built his profile with solid loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City. The Liverpool academy graduate is seen as a smart, technical midfielder who can also fill in at right-back if needed.
West Ham manager Graham Potter is looking to lower the average age of the squad and introduce more flexible, possession-based players. Morton and Elliott both fit that profile and could bring energy and tactical balance to a team aiming to bounce back strongly next season.

The Hammers are expected to continue reinforcing after wrapping up a deal for Slavia Prague left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf. Meanwhile, Liverpool have not closed the door on sales, especially with increased depth in midfield following the arrival of Florian Wirtz.
No decision has been made yet, but with Potter keen and both players eager for game time, the coming weeks could bring further movement.
