Liverpool’s new Adidas kit is finally here, but when will the Reds wear it for the first time?
The club officially launched their 2025/26 home jersey on August 1, marking a return to Adidas for the first time in 13 years. The new kit features a dark strawberry red base with white Adidas stripes down the sleeves and a classic Liver Bird crest on the chest.
A clean crew-neck collar and ribbed cuffs complete the modern athletic look, a design that stays true to Liverpool’s identity.
First Use – August 4 vs Athletic Bilbao
Arne Slot’s team will debut their new Adidas home kit on Monday, August 4, during a double-header friendly against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield.
First Competitive Match – August 10 vs Crystal Palace (Community Shield)
Liverpool will debut the kit in an official competition five days later. The Reds take on Crystal Palace in the 2025 Community Shield at Wembley on Saturday, August 10. That match will be the first time the shirt is worn in a competitive fixture.
Premier League Debut – August 15 vs Bournemouth (Anfield)
The new home kit will debut in a Premier League match on Friday, August 15, when Liverpool hosts Bournemouth at Anfield. This game marks the start of the Reds’ title defence and their domestic season at home.
Liverpool FC Women – August 9 and August 17
Liverpool FC Women will wear the new away kit for the first time during their pre-season trip to Aston Villa on August 9.
They will then wear the home strip the following weekend, August 17, when they face Durham at the AXA Melwood Training Centre. Both matches are part of their build-up to the new Women’s Super League season.
