Liverpool Complete £40m Signing Of Milos Kerkez

Liverpool have signed Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in a deal worth £40million, making him the club’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
Kerkez joins the Reds after an impressive season where he started all 38 Premier League matches for Bournemouth, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
The 21-year-old has signed a long-term contract at Anfield and is seen as a possible long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, whose future is uncertain with just one year left on his deal and interest from Atletico Madrid.
The highly-rated defender becomes Liverpool’s fifth new arrival this summer, taking the total spending to around £216million. Before Kerkez, the Reds had already secured Jeremie Frimpong for £29.5m and German star Florian Wirtz in a British record deal that could rise to £116m.
Liverpool also signed two goalkeepers – Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for £29m and young Armin Pecsi from Hungary for just £1.5m.

Speaking for the first time as a Liverpool player, Kerkez said:
“I’m really happy. It’s a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England. I’m just really, really happy and excited.”
The Hungarian added that he plans to enjoy a few days back home before returning to prepare for pre-season.
“I can’t really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season,” he said. “I’m going to give everything – absolutely everything – to win trophies with the club and to hopefully score some goals at Anfield. I can’t wait to hear the roar. And see you soon.”
Kerkez already has 23 caps for the Hungarian national team since making his debut in 2022 against Germany in the UEFA Nations League. He was also a finalist for the 2023 Golden Boy award and is on the shortlist for the 2024–25 PFA Young Player of the Year.
