Reports: Liverpool Agree £40m Deal To Sign Milos Kerkez

Liverpool are set to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez in a £40 million move, with the Hungary international expected to undergo his medical next week ahead of a long-term deal.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Kerkez has already agreed on personal terms on a five-year contract that will keep him at Anfield until 2030. Fabrizio Romano has added that the 21-year-old will have his medical on Tuesday, with an official announcement likely to follow on Wednesday.
Kerkez is set to become Liverpool’s most expensive full-back ever, and the 12th-most costly signing in the club’s history. Only Virgil van Dijk, signed for £75 million, has cost more among defenders.

After a strong season at Bournemouth, where he featured in all 38 Premier League games, scoring two goals and adding six assists, the Reds have moved quickly to get the deal done. Kerkez joined the Cherries from AZ Alkmaar in 2023, brought in by then-sporting director Richard Hughes, now leading recruitment at Liverpool.
He also impressed in the Eredivisie, scoring five and assisting seven during the 2022-23 campaign, while helping AZ reach the Europa Conference League semi-finals.
Kerkez will link up with fellow Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield and is expected to compete for the starting left-back spot. Andy Robertson’s future remains up in the air, with interest from Atletico Madrid, while Kostas Tsimikas is available for transfer.
This is Liverpool’s third major move of the window after landing right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.5 million. A record-breaking £116 million move for Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz is also said to be close.
Slot’s rebuild is in full swing, and Kerkez looks set to be a key piece of the puzzle on the left.
