Liverpool Player Ratings vs Yokohama FM

Liverpool wrapped up their Asia tour with a 3-1 win over Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan, thanks to goals from Florian Wirtz, Trey Nyoni, and Rio Ngumoha.
Despite falling behind early in the second half, Arne Slot’s side responded with a much-improved display after the break. Several young players stood out once again, while summer signing Florian Wirtz netted his first goal for the club.
Here are Strictly Liverpool’s match ratings from the victory in Yokohama.
Starting XI
Giorgi Mamardashvili – 7
A quiet afternoon overall, but did well to produce one solid save before half-time. No blame for the goal, and showed good focus after his Milan error.
Conor Bradley – 5
Got forward with intent and energy but lacked precision in the final third. A steady showing without hitting top gear.
Ibrahima Konaté – 5
Uncomfortable at times, especially with Élber’s early movement. A poor clearance nearly cost Liverpool, and he left space open for Marinos’ goal.
Virgil van Dijk – 6
Read the game well, clearing a dangerous cross and recovering smartly to stop Araújo. Led calmly before coming off.
Milos Kerkez – 5
Covered plenty of ground down the left but gave the ball away dangerously in the first half. Got away with it thanks to Van Dijk.
Ryan Gravenberch – 6
Did his job in midfield without much flair. Kept it simple in a game where control was key after the break.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 6
Adapted well in a deeper role. Pressed hard, kept the tempo high and picked out some lovely passes.
Mohamed Salah – 8
A standout display in terms of creativity. His through ball to Gakpo was superb, and he played a big part in Liverpool’s equaliser.

Florian Wirtz – 7
Not his smoothest game, with the pitch affecting his touch. Still found a way to score before coming off.
Cody Gakpo – 6
Always involved and looked sharp. Hit the post early and stayed dangerous on the left wing despite some wasteful finishing.
Hugo Ekitiké – 5
Lively on his debut and almost scored with a smart flick. Faded at times but worked hard up top.
Substitutes
Curtis Jones (46’ for Gravenberch) – 7
Pressed high and won the ball back to spark Liverpool’s first goal. Linked play well from midfield.
Darwin Núñez (46’ for Ekitiké) – 5
Spurned a big chance right before Marinos scored. Quiet otherwise.
Wataru Endo (59’ for Van Dijk) – 6
Wore the armband back home in Japan and slotted into midfield comfortably, a nice moment.
Rio Ngumoha (63’ for Gakpo) – 8
Changed the game. Took on defenders, showed real flair, and scored a brilliant solo goal to seal it.
Harvey Elliott (63’ for Salah) – 5
Moved inside cleverly and gave Frimpong space to operate out wide. Solid 30 minutes.
Andy Robertson (63’ for Kerkez) – 5
Saw little action down his flank but helped manage the game once Liverpool took the lead.
Kostas Tsimikas (63’ for Konaté) – 5
Played at centre back again and barely put a foot wrong against tired opposition.
Jeremie Frimpong (63’ for Bradley) – 7
Electric off the bench. Beat his man repeatedly and delivered a perfect cross for Nyoni’s goal.
Alexis Mac Allister (63’ for Szoboszlai) – 7
Neat and composed on the ball, he rarely lost possession and showed his usual sharp touches.
Trey Nyoni (63’ for Wirtz) – 7
Timed his run perfectly and finished well at the back post, another good showing from the youngster.
Subs not used: Ármin Pécsi, Freddie Woodman, Luca Stephenson, Tyler Morton.
