Liverpool U18s Fall 5-2 to Nottingham Forest

Liverpool U18s suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat away to Nottingham Forest in the U18 Premier League North on Wednesday afternoon. Despite early efforts from Scofield Lonmeni and Oliver O’Connor, the Reds struggled to find their rhythm and were ultimately outclassed by a clinical Forest side.

The hosts took the lead in the 35th minute through Jayden Powell, who capitalized on a corner to score from close range. Forest doubled their advantage early in the second half when Fuad Smith converted a penalty after Emmanuel Airoboma fouled him in the box.

Isaac Davies extended Forest’s lead to 3-0 with a stunning long-range strike in the 71st minute. Liverpool pulled one back moments later through Kareem Ahmed, who curled a brilliant effort into the top corner. However, Forest responded immediately, with Smith adding his second goal of the game to make it 4-1.

Joe Bradshaw came off the bench to score a late consolation for Liverpool, but Forest had the final say as Davies set up Scott Hamilton to complete the scoring at 5-2.
